NTSC (National Television Standards Committee) - A video standard established by the United States (RCA/NBC). The format has also been established by many countries across the globe. NTSC is a 525-line video with 3.58-MHz Chroma Sub carrier having standard rate of 60 cycles per second. The video standard format is also capable of displaying the image at 30 FPS.
PAL (Phase Alternative Line System) - The European TV standard based TV format which runs at 50 cycles per second electrical system and 625 lines per frame and 25 fps.
Plug-In- It is a software program, which increases the capabilities of the main program. One of the most common examples to point out here is the plug-in program for the web browser that would otherwise help the webcam to function over the network.
POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) - It is the term used for basic analog telephone service. Ideally, POTS run on lower bandwidth of 4KHz. via twisted pair wiring. Any internet or digital service( such as DSL) which shares with the POTS should use the frequency over and above POTS, or alternatively work by converting POTS to digital signal and then interleave with various other data signals.
